Delete your account and data
Inspection Plus+ is published by Briswide Inspection Services (the developer shown on Google Play and the App Store). Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. How to request deletion
Inspection Plus+ does not use passwords. Your "account" is the email address you subscribed or bought with (and, for the free reports, the details you entered). To delete it:
- Email support@getinspectionplus.com from the email address you used with the subject "Delete my Inspection Plus+ account". Tell us whether you want your account only, or your account and every record listed in section 2.
- We confirm the request by reply (so nobody can delete your records by pretending to be you) and complete the deletion within 30 days.
- Any devices signed in to an Unlimited plan are signed out and unredeemed licence credits lapse — deletion cannot be undone and we cannot restore codes afterwards.
Inspection jobs, photos and defects are stored on your own device, not on our servers — delete them yourself at any time by clearing the app's site data or uninstalling the app. If you turned on cross-device sync, use Sync settings → Turn off & delete synced copy in the app, or ask us in the same email.
2. What is deleted
- Your subscription sign-in record and the list of devices signed in to your plan
- Licence codes issued to you and their redemption (device) records
- Synced job data, including photos, held under your sync key
- Your free-reports sign-up (name, business, mobile, postcode, email)
- Booking requests and contractor quote requests connected to your email
- Feedback or testimonials you left, including any published testimonial
- Your email address from our product-update list
3. What is kept, and for how long
- Sales and tax records (your email address, what you bought, when, and the Stripe reference) — kept for 7 years as required by Australian tax law, then deleted.
- Issued documents and their verification records (the PDF, document ID, inspector name, licence number, business name, property suburb) and client e-acceptance records — kept for 7 years so that reports already given to clients can still be verified and so you can meet your own professional record-keeping obligations. Tell us if you want these deleted earlier and we will do so where the law allows.
- Short-lived technical logs are deleted automatically within a few weeks.
Payments are processed by Stripe, which keeps its own records under Stripe's privacy policy.
4. Questions
Anything else about your data is covered in our Privacy Policy. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
