Refunds, Cancellations & Policies

Effective date: 20 September 2026 · Last updated: 2 October 2026 · Briswide Inspection Services · Inspection Plus+ (getinspectionplus.com)

1. Prices and GST

All prices on the Store are in Australian dollars and are the total price you pay. No GST is charged — Briswide Inspection Services is not registered for GST — so no tax invoice is issued; Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment. Prices may change; the price shown at the time you pay is the price that applies.

2. Refunds

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded; for a major failure you may cancel and obtain a refund, and for any other failure you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time.

3. Subscriptions and cancellation

Unlimited subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel. Each month's payment is taken from the card you subscribed with, and Stripe emails you a receipt every time. Additional-inspector subscriptions renew the same way.

How to cancel. Reply to your subscription welcome email, or email support@getinspectionplus.com from the email address the subscription is under, and ask us to cancel. Cancelling stops all future payments; your access continues to the end of the month you have already paid for. A refund for the unused part of a month is not given unless the service was faulty. Additional User subscriptions on the same email are cancelled with the main plan, because they don't work without it.

Fixed-period pass codes. An Unlimited pass code issued for a fixed period (for example 12 months) ends on the date shown when the code is redeemed and does not renew.

4. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank — most problems are a mis-typed email address or a code caught by spam filtering, and we can fix them the same day. If a payment is refunded or reversed by chargeback, or a code was obtained by fraud, we may cancel the code: a cancelled code can no longer be redeemed or restored, or used to email, send for e-acceptance or archive documents.

5. Privacy collection notice (Australian Privacy Principle 5)

Who is collecting. Briswide Inspection Services, Sumners Road, Riverhills QLD 4074, support@getinspectionplus.com.

What we collect and why. (a) Your email address and payment details when you buy a licence — collected by Stripe to process payment and by us to email your code and keep a sales log; we never see your card number. (b) The details you type into the App about you, your clients and the property — stored in your browser on your device so the App works; parts of it are sent to us only when you use a feature that needs a server (the items below). (c) If you turn on cross-device sync, the current job (including photographs) is stored on our hosting provider's storage under a key derived from your sync passphrase, so your other devices can read it. (d) The AI features (defect write-ups, photo assessments, Condition Report costing, wording suggestions and the help chat) send the text and photographs involved to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the result; the automatic spelling & grammar correction (on by default — turn it off on its bar) sends a field's text when you leave the field. (e) When you download, print or email a finished document, the PDF is archived and a public verification record is published (document ID, document type, issue date, inspector name, licence number, business name and property suburb — not the client's name); emailed documents pass through our email provider (Resend) and a copy is sent to our administration address. (f) Client web links, e-acceptance, booking requests and contractor quote requests store what the other party enters (for example their name, signature, contact details, the time and their connection address) so the record can be shown to you. (g) Free-code sign-ups (name, business, mobile, postcode, email and connection address) are kept to send the code by SMS (Twilio) and email and to allow one free code per business. (h) Subscriber sign-in keeps your subscription email and the devices signed in to your plan, and the site sets one functional cookie that identifies your device for licence codes. The Privacy Policy has the full list.

Where it goes. Our hosting and storage (Netlify), email (Resend), SMS (Twilio), payments (Stripe) and AI (Anthropic) providers are based in, or store data in, the United States, so the information above is disclosed overseas to those providers to provide the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for marketing without consent.

Your clients. When you enter a client's details you are the collector of that information; you should tell your client that you use Inspection Plus+ to prepare their documents. The Agreement template includes a short notice for this purpose.

Access, correction and deletion. You can view and change everything stored on your device inside the App. To delete a synced job, open the sync settings in the App and choose "Turn off & delete synced copy" — this removes the job and its photographs from our storage. To have your sales-log entry or any other information we hold corrected or deleted, email us; we respond within 30 days. Complaints can be made to us first and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Retention. Sales-log entries are kept for seven years for tax and dispute purposes. Issued documents (the archived PDF and its verification record), e-acceptance records and client web-link records are kept for seven years so they can be verified. Synced job data is kept until you delete it. Photographs and text sent to the AI features are not stored by us after the result is returned.

6. Complaints

Email support@getinspectionplus.com with "Complaint" in the subject line. We acknowledge within two business days and aim to resolve within ten. If you are not satisfied you may contact the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (for consumer matters) or the OAIC (for privacy matters).
